Family Connection Annual Conference
Family Connection of South Carolina will be holding its annual conference on March 23rd & 24th. The “Hopes and Dreams” 2012 conference will be held at the First Baptist Church on Hampton Street in Columbia. This year’s conference is set to explore the issues and challenges families face in caring for children with developmental disabilities, chronic illnesses and long-term health care needs. The target audience for this event is parents of children with special needs and the professionals who provide support.
There will be over 55 workshops offered with close to 70 presenters. Continuing Education Units will be available for nurses, social workers, speech pathologists, teachers, early interventionists, licensed counselors and child care workers.
